Making music and working wood go hand in hand. From the Stradivarius to the Steinway, many of history’s finest instruments have been crafted by hand, and the hands of musicians from Rachmaninoff to Yo-Yo Ma have created the finest music upon them.

My love for crafting with my hands goes back to my childhood. My passion for music was sparked when I picked up a guitar in high school. The two came together in 2016 when the Shark Shaker was born.

At the time, my limited space and resources lead me to the simplicity of the shaker. A basic shape and concept, but one rarely executed with elegance and artistry. Combining the natural beauty found in a variety of wood species, I am driven to craft shakers that not only inspire beautiful music, but can also be cherished as objects of beauty as well.
